1. Installation via WPAdmin Panel

You can download free themes directly to your WordPress installation by using the Add New Theme option in the Appearance sub-menu.

OR Use Manual Method (Themes unavailable via WordPress.org):

  1. Go to our free themes section by clicking at https://fireflythemes.com/themes/category/free-themes and choose the theme that fits your website
  2. After you select theme, go to that theme page and then click on “Download Now” button to download theme zip file
  3. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel
  4. Go to Appearance => Themes =>Add New
  5. Click on Uploads => Upload Theme and Browse the downloaded zip file from the desktop where you have it downloaded
  6. Click on Install Now and then Activate to install the Theme

 

2. Installation using FTP

To add a new Theme to your WordPress installation, follow these basic steps:

  1. Go to our free themes section by clicking at https://fireflythemes.com/themes/category/free-themes and choose the theme that fits your website
  2. After you select theme, go to that theme page and then click on Download Now button to download theme zip file and unzip it
  3. Using an FTP client to access your host web server. Go to /wp-content/themes/ and make sure that you do not already have theme folder installed
  4. If you do, then back it up and remove it from /wp-content/themes/ before uploading your copy of the theme you are going to install
  5. Upload theme to /wp-content/themes/
  6. Activate theme through Appearance => Themes, in your WordPress Dashboard
